Mark The End Of Your Maternity Leave With A Photoshoot

Returning to work after being off on maternity leave brings up so many emotions. You’ve dedicated all of yourself to your newest addition for the past few months, maybe a year or even longer. Maternity leave is hard work and you should be incredibly proud of yourself for everything you’ve achieved during this time.

The prospect of this chapter coming to an end can be unnerving. You might feel mixed about it, partly excited about going back to work and doing something for yourself again, partly grieving that this time has come to an end and nervous about how you’ll juggle both work and motherhood. You are probably excited for your little one to become a bit more independent and learn from their peers but equally worried about how they’ll find the transition. Rather than getting tangled up in all these thoughts during your last few days at home, why don’t you book a photoshoot for yourself and your little one to celebrate everything you’ve achieved together.

I’d love to come by and capture some candid moments of you the two of you, doing the everyday things you’ve done during your maternity leave. This could be play time, having fun and tickles on the bed, bubbles, a dance party or simply having lunch together.

I promise these images will always fill your heart with gratitude and pride!

Here’s a snapshot of exactly one of these sessions:

Kind Words

I have been lucky enough to have Maria photograph my little one as a newborn, when he was around 6m and again last week for a [back to work/ end of mat leave] session at 1y old. I had the best morning playing at home with him whilst Maria took photos and he absolutely loved it, playing up to the camera at every opportunity! The photos I’ve received are INCREDIBLE! It is so special to have photos to remember this stage in our lives and the journey I’ve been on this last year with him. I wish I’d done this with my first child and would recommend to anyone going back to work to do this - even if I have sobbed my eyes out so many times looking through all the photos!! - Lorn
